Have you experienced any of these feelings?
You feel like you’re always working hard, and maybe just getting by, but never really making progress.
You’ve got lots of good ideas that you never actually get to implement because you can’t find the time.
You wish that you could clone yourself so you could work on the short-term while still focusing on the long-term.
You’re starting to think, “I just can’t take on another idea. I’m feeling bad enough about all the stuff I already know but I’m not implementing.”
If this describes you, then you’re in absolutely the right place right now, because I’m going to cut through the clutter and help you to do something that I did three years ago, when I focused down to a simple three-step plan that really works.
This is what I mean by focusing on simple things. Little hinges swing big doors. If you think that growing your business means that you have to work harder and longer and faster, you are wrong. Those things are not working for you; in fact, they could even be counterproductive.
People will tell you all the different things that you ought to be doing: blogging, articles, social media like Twitter and Facebook, pay-per-click advertising, joining networking groups, doing publicity, or trying to get on TV and local radio.
And yes, these are all ways to promote your business. But, when it comes right down to it, there are only three things that will work every time:
1. Increase the number of prospects coming in. In other words, more leads.
2. Increase the percentage conversion of leads to sales. You could have the same number of leads, but by improving your conversion you’re now actually bringing in more clients.
3. Increase the value per customer. Increase how much they spend with you by increasing the average order size.
If you are thinking, “This doesn’t apply to me. My business is different,” I want you to know it does not matter what business you are in.
You can absolutely find ways to increase your business using just these three steps. I know that for sure. I used these same steps to grow my own business, and have seen them work for many different businesses over the years.
The bottom line is you can double, triple or even quadruple your business by focusing on these three areas – these three simple things – that really do make a difference. Number one is more leads. Number two is more clients. And number three is more sales.
Ultimately, only these three ways work.
